What a special and emotional week it was for our club.
On Thursday night we were incredibly honored to welcome Mia, Tina & Dominic, along with the Mezzatesta family, as we united in support of the Mildura Big Freeze for FightMND.
In a moving moment, Mary, Anthony, Thomas and Rose proudly presented our A Grade netballers and Senior footballers with their blue dresses and jerseys in loving memory of Tony Mezzatesta, who sadly lost his battle with MND. These jumpers will now proudly be worn each year in Tony’s memory. We sincerely thank them for their generosity in sponsoring these special uniforms.
A huge thank you also goes to our brave REFNC sliders - Thomas, Courtney and Mark who took the plunge into the icy waters.
Weeks like this remind us football and netball are about far more than results on the scoreboard. They’re about community, family and standing together when it matters most.
We are incredibly proud to announce that REFNC will host the Big Freeze in 2027, and we cannot wait to come together once again for such a meaningful cause.
